If you have played Where’s My Water on an iPhone, iPad. iPod Touch before, learning how to play it on your new iPhone 5 won’t require any new skills. Your mission is still the same; get water back to Swampy the alligator using various tools so he can have a shower, but make sure to keep an eye out for any algae, toxic ooze, triggers and traps!

Meet Swampy

Where's My Water?Swampy is not just your normal everyday alligator, he is a little different. He is curious, friendly, and generous and loves nothing more than to stay clean by taking long showers after a hard day’s work.

Sadly the other alligators have broken his plumbing which has stopped the flow of water. It’s your objective to use the various tools available to get the water flowing again so Swampy can take a shower along with various other activities.

How to Get The Water Flowing

We will use the first level as our example.

You can see there are broken pipes and a lot of dirt in the way of the water.

Using your iPhone 5 touch screen, you will need to swipe (drag your finger) from where the water sits down to the inlet where Swampy is standing in his bathtub. The water will immediately begin to flow and reach Swampy and fill his bath tub. Occasionally, the water must be routed through other pipes or must interact with machines in order to open up a route to the inlet.

When the required amount of water reaches the bathtub, the level is completed and the next level is unlocked

When you complete each level, a screen will show with a silhouette of Swampy doing the activity he was trying to do with the water, as well as your results of how well you did in the level.

Once you have gone over your results in the level, you have 3 choices; you can replay the level to try and earn extra points, move on to the next level or go back to the level list to play a past level.

Tip On Water Physics

It is important to note that the water reacts just like it does in real life, this is where the real life water physics comes into play. For example, if you create a “bowl” of sorts when creating your route to Swampy, that water will not travel any further unless it overflows. It is recommended that you plan your route accordingly.

What Bonuses Can I Receive?

1. You will get a time bonus based on how quickly you finished completing the level.

2. You will receive a duck bonus for making the water travel through one or more of the ducks which are located in the level. Collecting a certain number of rubber ducks will also unlock new groups of levels.

3. You can also receive an overflow bonus based on how much extra water
Swampy’s bath tub.

4. Located in some levels, there are items hidden in the dirt that will unlock bonus levels when three-item collections are completed.

What Kind of Hazards Are There?

Certain levels are populated by different types of hazards which must be avoided or removed.

Below, I have mentioned the most frequent hazards that can populate a level, but be warned! as you advance deeper into the levels you will come across more hazards such as bombs that blow open big holes. There are also less menacing hazards such as faucets that let you control the flow of water and switches that open up new areas in the levels.

Algae: This green carpet looking hazard will absorb water and grow at a rapid rate.

Purple Poison: A single drop of this purple looking liquid will kill any rubber duck in it’s path and contaminate pure water, turning it into poison as well (nobody likes bathing in poison!).

Green Ooze: Once released, it will eat it’s way through the dirt, destroy pure water and kill rubber ducks.

Even though the above hazards can cause a negative effect in your game, there comes a positive.

Both the purple poison and the green ooze can destroy the green algae upon contact – the poison will eliminate it whilst the ooze will cause it to solidify, creating a new barrier. They can also react explosively if they touch each other, potentially opening up new sections of the level which could be detrimental to win the level.

Where’s My Water is one of those wonderful casual games that’s perfectly suited for the new iPhone 5 and it appeals to gamers of all ages. As you complete each level, you will get to see the amazing life like graphics and life like water physics the game has to offer as it challenges you to swipe, slosh, and splash to guide water through increasingly challenging scenarios.

Now if you will excuse me, I have some duckies to collect..
